Savings & tax

Money set aside quietly, which the tax code quietly rewards.

Good savings work twice. They grow quietly all year, and they shrink your tax bill that same year.

Who this is really about

If you pay Thai income tax every year but never use your full allowances, you’re leaving money with the Revenue Department for no reason. Life premiums deduct up to ฿100,000 a year, health premiums another ฿25,000. This is the one saving habit the tax code rewards on purpose.

Exclusions first. Always.

  • 01

Saving through insurance is a long game. Stop paying or surrender in the early years and you’ll usually get back less than you paid. I won’t propose a premium you can’t genuinely sustain.

  • 02

To qualify for the tax deduction, the policy must meet Revenue Department rules, generally a cover term of at least 10 years for life premiums.

  • 03

Index-linked or dividend plans carry non-guaranteed returns. I’ll draw you the table with the guaranteed column clearly separated.

  • 04

Allowances follow the Revenue Department’s announcements each year. I’ll keep you updated every tax season.

Where we usually start

01

My Double Plus (with dividends)

Short- or long-term saving with a selectable premium term of 6–20 years; health cover can ride on the same plan.

02

Smart Saving 18/8 (with dividends)

A guaranteed 3% cashback every three years, 15% in total, plus a lump sum at maturity.

03

My Smart Index 18/8

Index-linked returns, and that part isn’t guaranteed. For savers who can accept some movement for a shot at more.

Underwritten by Allianz Ayudhya Assurance PCL · Please read and understand the coverage details and conditions before deciding to purchase insurance, every time.
